Ionia Daily Sentinel - 5 July 1956
Mrs. Minnie Holcomb, 88, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ora Woodard, 
Tuesday July 3 at 6:50 pm on West Lincoln avenue.  She had been ill for the 
past 34 years.



Born May 29, 1868 in Ionia township in the present home of Lloyd Snyder, she 
was the daughter of John and Priscilla Snyder and was married to Moses Holcomb, 
February 22, 1887.  They lived in Easton township for 45 years and came to 
Ionia in 1932.  She was a member ofthe State Road club and Maccabees.



Preceded in death by her husband June 12, 1950, she is survived by one son, Dey 
Holcomb of Orleans township one daughter, Mrs. Ora Woodard of Ionia; six 
grandchildren, Mrs. John Leland, J. B. Holcomb, Mrs. Marion Munn and Wayne 
Woodard and 20 great-grandchildren.



Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Boynton 
funeral home and interment will be in Highland park cemetery.  The Rev. Herbert 
Ellis will officiate.
