Ionia Daily Sentinel - Sat. Feb. 14, 1914

Mrs. Wm. Holcomb, residing north of the city on the Steele road, died last 
night at 7:30 as a result of a stroke of apoplexy suffered Tuesday. Mrs. 
Holcomb was 69 years of age and has lived for 45 years on the farm where she 
died. She suffered a stroke of apoplexy about three years ago this being the 
second illness. Three sons survive: Charles, Earl and Floyd. The funeral will 
be attended Tuesday from the residence, interment in Oak Hill cemetery.
