Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 2 Feb 1937

Mrs. Jessie Britton Holcomb, 71, Route 3, Ionia, died Tuesday at Blodgett
hospital, where she was taken the first of December when she fell and broke her
hip.

She was born in Illinois, from which state she came to live in Saranac.  In
1912? she was engaged as housekeeper at the home of Charles Holcomb and after
the death of his mother they were married in Ionia.

Mrs. Holcomb is survived by an adopted daughter, Mrs. Cassius Conner of Ionia,
and her husband, Charles Holcomb.

Funeral services will be held at the Myers funeral home, 148 East Main street
Friday afternoon, February 5, at 2 o’clock.

[Transcriber's Note:  There is a notation on the obituary card that she was
buried in Oak Hill Cemetery.]
