Floyd Holcomb, one of Ronald townships most prominent farmers, passed away at his home there late Thursday afternoon following an illness which last about a week. Mr. Holcomb had been seriously ill from the first. The cause of death was given as kidney trouble and peritonitis. He resided on the former Nelson Powell farm, just west to Nickle Plate. Mr. Holcomb is survived by his widow, and three children, Russell Holcomb, Miss Ethel Holcomb, and George Holcomb, all at home. He is also survived by two brothers, Charles Holcomb, of Ionia township, and Earl Holcomb, of Ronald township. Mr. Holcomb was always a booster for good roads in his township and was responsible for the roads built during the past two or three years. The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock sun time at the residence, Rev. M.H. Garrard will officiate.
