Holcomb Sr. aged 63, of Ionia passed away May 21, 2007 in Grand Rapids. He was born May 1, 1944 in Evart, MI the son of George W. and Edith I. (Beadle) Holcomb. He was a Navy veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He married Dawn Ann Putnam December 16, 1966 she preceded him in death February 10, 1994. He married Jill Grace March 25, 1995. David owned and operated the former Colonial House of Hair with his wife Jill for 20 years. He was a member of the Ionia Moose Lodge as well as the International Moose Assoc. He loved to bowl and was involved with many leagues. He loved to cut wood. He was a family man and enjoyed his grandchildren very much. He is survived by his wife Jill Holcomb of Ionia. Children David Holcomb Jr. of Ionia, Deborah and Doug Hotchkiss of Ionia. Step-children Erik Nielsen of Grand Rapids, Tami an Bob Brownell of Ionia and Jennifer Nielsen of Grand Rapids. 1 sister Faith and Frank Hoople of Hubbardston. 10 Grandchildren. Special friends Dal Onan and Randy Barnes of Muir. Mother in law Pauline (Tilly) Knepper and Bert Husted of Muir. He was preceded in death by his parents and his uncle Eugene Beadle. Memorial Services will be held Thursday 1:00 P.M. at the Lake Funeral Home in Ionia. Visitation will be on Wednesday 4-8 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
