Ionia Sentinel Standard, 30 Aug 1982

Rebecca Sue (Becky) Holcomb, 12, daughter of Kenneth and Linda Meyers Holcomb of
West Bluewater Highway, Ionia, died Saturday morning in St. Mary’s Hospital,
Grand Rapids, after an illness of three years.  She was born in Ionia June 12,
1970, and was a student at Boyce School.

She is survived by her parents and one sister, Julie, at home.  Also surviving
are: her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J.B. Holcomb of Ionia; her maternal
grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James Meyers of Lyons; and a maternal great
grandmother, Mrs. Lillian Meyers of Ionia.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. from the Leddick Funeral Home, with
the Rev. Alton Joppie, associate pastor of the Ionia Church of the Nazarene
officiating.  Burial will be in Balcom Cemetery.  Memorials have been
established for: the Randy Covert Kidney Fund and/or Becky’s Memorial Fund, in
the care of the funeral home.  The family will be at the Leddick Funeral Home
Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
