    Excerpts from Ionia Obituary

    DOUGLAS McARTHUR HOLLIDAY

Died July 21, 2025-age 83 of Ionia,MI.
Born March 23, 1942 in Hazard, Kentucky, son of Green & Naomi (Combs) Holliday.
Doug married Ruthann Marie Mille on May 2, 1970 in Lansing,MI.
He served in the United States Army during Vietnam.
After returning home, he worked for Milling Drop Forge in Lansing as a Press 
Operator for 30 years.
Doug & Nancy lived in Lansing for 35 years before moveing to Ionia.
He was a member of the Saranac American Legion Post 175 & the Ionia Moose Lodge.
He loved fishing, gardening, cooking & grilling out. Was know for his fried 
chicken & nachos.
Surviving is his wife, Ruthann M.Holliday of Ionia, Son, Anthony Douglas"KC" 
Holliday of Charlotte, Grandchildren, Victoria (Terran) Ellsworth, Jordan 
Holliday, Vanessa Holliday, Dominic Holliday, Adrian Holliday, Skylee Mitchell, 
Royce Mitchell, Ollionna Gentz & Dylenger Gentz. Great Grandson, Leland 
Ellsaworth & several nieces & nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Tammy Covert & 3 sisters & 7 
brothers.
Cremation has taken place & a private Celebration of Life will be held later.
Arrangements in care of Lake Funeral Home in Ionia.
