Ionia Daily Sentinel, 19 Jan 1946

Sheridan’s oldest resident, Mrs. Anna E. Holland, 89, died Friday at her home 
there.  She was a former school teacher.

Born August 11, 1856, in Danby township, in Ionia county, Mrs. Holland had 
lived in Sheridan 70 years.  She taught Carson City and Sheridan schools before 
her marriage to George Holland, farmer and township supervisor, November 16, 
1876.  Mrs. Holland was a member of the OES and the Sheridan Congregational 
church.

Surviving is a daughter, Mrs. A.L. Stebbins, of Sheridan, and two grandsons and 
one great-grandson.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at the Stebbins funeral home at 
Sheridan at 2:00 o’clock.  Burial will be at Sheridan cemetery.
