Mrs. Clifford Holland, age 79, passed away Sunday afternoon at 3:00 at the home 
of her son, Theodore, in Orleans.  She had been in poor health for more than a 
year, and since the death of her husband in August 1940, had been failing 
rapidly.

Ella Tabor was born September 1, 1861, in Orleans Township, Ionia County, and 
spent most her life in that vicinity.  On January 20, 1878 she was united in 
marriage to Clifford Giles Holland.  To this union were born four children, 
Mrs. Henry Burns, Mrs. Clarence Barbe and Theodore all of Orleans, and Arthur 
of Detroit.  Surviving besides the four children are six grandchildren and 6 
great grandchildren.

Funeral services in charge of Fales Funeral Home were held at 2:00 Tuesday 
afternoon at the residence in Orleans.  Rev. H. S. Ellis officiated, and 
interment was made in the family lot at the Orleans Cemetery.  Pallbearers were 
Leon and Merl Burns, and Bernard Olmstead of Ionia, Merton Olmstead and Amos 
Bolster of Orleans, and Robert Rockefeller of Belding.
