E. Hollard, 76, for 40 years a practicing physician of Belding, died Wednesday at Butterworth hospital in Grand rapids. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. Born August 6, 1882 at Alton, Ill., Dr. Hollard came to Belding in 1919. He attended Washington University at St. Louis, Mo., and the Chicago College of Medicine graduating in 1914. He was physician to a lumber camp at Bay City before moving to Belding. During his practice in Belding he delivered over 4,000 babies and two years ago the community of Belding honored him at a community open house at the high school gymnasium. He was associated with the Michigan National Guard until 1942 and then was attached to the state troops. He is survived by his wife, three daughters, three sisters, and eight grandchildren.
