Pleasant St. and Coroner Dale Kaufman attributed her death to a heart attack. Born in Bay City, June 12, 1892, she was the daughter of Martin and Christina Nelson; she graduated as a registered nurse from Washington Park Hospital in Chicago in 1914 and March 22, 1918 she was married to Dr. Alfred E. Hollard in Chicago. He was a practicing physician here over 40 years and died in July, 1959. Mrs. Hollard was a member of First Congregational Church, New Idea Club, Blewelmn Club, a life member of Doric Chapter, No. 75, Order of Eastern Star and she was active in church and social affairs here all of her life. Mrs. Hollard is survived by three daughters, Mrs. John (Jean) Heinz of Saginaw, Mrs. Marvin (Marian) Smith, Columbus, Ohio and Mrs. William (Beth) Arndt, Plymouth; one sister, Mrs. William Preston of New York City, one brother, M. E. Nelson, Palm Springs, Calif., and eight grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Huffman Funeral Home with her pastor, Rev. Thomas Rebentisch officiating and burial was in River Ridge cemetery.
