Elmer C. Holliday, 82, of 722 West Main, Belding, died Wednesday.  He was born
March 5, 1887 in Smyrna the son of Charles and Emma Holliday.  January 1, 1915
he was married in Orleans to Charlotte Buffun and spent his lifetime in the
Belding area.

Besides his wife he leaves five daughters, Mrs. Orville Bean of Amble, Mrs.
Ardis Graham of Lowell, Mrs. Lloyd Jones of Fenwick, Mrs. David Ayers and Mrs.
Don Ackerson both of Greenville; three sons, Floyd of Lowell, Marlin of Rockford
and Charles of Belding; 52 grandchildren and 59 great grandchildren; one sister,
Mrs. Fern Allison of Belding, two brothers, Clark of Ionia and Lawrence of Belding.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Huffman funeral home in Belding.
 Rev. Mark Tjepkema of Belding Free Methodist church will officiate.  Interment
will be at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.  Bearers will be Ronald Holliday, Carl
Jonas, Lawrence Graham, Robert Bean, Ricky Ackerson and Walter Graham.
