Helene E. Hollon, 88, of 210 Elm St., Apt. 1, Portland died Wednesday evening.  
She was a former resident of Grosse Pointe moving to Portland six years ago.  
She was born April 27, 1890 in Portland, daughter of Newton Eddy and Caroline 
Whitmore.

She was a retired teacher and a life member of Eastern Star.  In 1916 she 
graduated from Olivet college.  

Her only survivors are cousins and close friends.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. from the Neller funeral home, 
Portland.  Rev. Ronald Lahr will officiate.  Burial will be in Portland 
cemetery.
