SUDDEN DEATH OF A FORMER RESIDENT

Word has been received here by Mrs. Edwin Shellhorn of the death of Mrs. P.O. 
Holly in Miami in Miami, Florida on Sunday Mar. 5, at the home of her daughter 
Mr. and Mrs. Sears Shearston. 

Mrs. Holly was the sister of the late Mrs. Henry Carpenter, Sr. and an aunt of 
C.B. Carpenter of this village.

The Holly's were residents of Lake Odessa, owning the home now owned by Mrs. 
Aletha Knight, several years before moving south. She leaves two sons and three 
daughters.

Mrs. Holly died very suddenly, having attended church, ate her dinner and helped 
with the dinner work. Then saying she would "sit out on the porch" she gasped 
twice and was gone.

Mrs. Holly was a member of the Methodist church while in Lake Odessa and a very 
active worker in the Woman's Christian Temperance Union being president of that 
organization for some time.
