Her childhood was spent on a farm and she attended the West Sebewa school, then Lake Odessa high school, then a business course at Ferris institute. She took a position in Kalamazoo where she met and married Dr. Holmberg February 28, 1908. He entered the army and they were sent to Washington, D.C., then to San Francisco, then to New Mexico, from there to Parang on Mindanao Island in the Philippines. In 1917 they were returned to Arizona, the United States, where the Dr. contracted pneumonia and died in 1919. After his death she worked in the office of Henry Ford for 15 years then for Ambassador Bridge Co. until her health failed. She is survived by two brothers, John and Luke in Detroit, two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Wilcox in Kalamazoo, and Flossie Wallace at Lansing, also nieces and nephews. The funeral was held in Saginaw and burial was in that city beside her husband.
