A Belding resident, Mrs. Jennie S. Holmes, 84, of 517 Merrick, died Saturday at 
Ferguson Droste hospital in Grand Rapids.

She was born in Gowen, January 20, 1883 and spent most of her life in Belding 
where she was a member of First Church of God and the XYZ club.  She was the 
widow of Harvey Holmes who died September 25 of injuries received in an 
automobile accident.

Surviving are two sons, Delbert and Fred Witney of Lansing; three grandchildren 
and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Huffman funeral home in Belding 
with Rev. Marvin Moser officiating.  Burial will be in River Ridge cemetery, 
Belding.
