The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Thursday, March 3, 1921

The funeral for Mrs. Julia Holmes was held at the home of her daughter, Mr. 
and Mrs. D. W. Lind, 118 Yeomans street, Wednesday afternoon at 1 o’clock.  
The funeral service was conducted by Rev. R. E. Meader of the Methodist church 
and the music was furnished by Mrs. R. A. Colwell and Mrs. Willis Peck.  The 
funeral was largely attended and the floral offerings were many and 
beautiful.  The bearers were Claude Brockway, Glenn Pierce, Walter Snell and 
Wallace Haight.  Burial took place in South Boston cemetery where there were 
many old friends to pay their last respects.  Those here from out of the city 
were Charles Holmes of Howard City, Mr. and Mrs. D. J. Hill of Clarksville, 
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Lind of Grand Rapids and Mrs. Bullard of Clarksville.
