The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Wednesday, August 3, 1932

Mrs. Adelbert Holmes, 63, died Tuesday evening at the home of her daughter, 
Mrs. James Nusbaum, of Berlin, following a long illness of heart disease.  
Funeral services will be conducted at the home of Mrs. Nusbaum Friday 
afternoon at 11 o’clock.  Burial will be at Alma.

Mrs. Holmes was a native of Kent county but had lived the greater part of her 
life in the vicinity of Alma.  The last 10 years she and her husband have 
resided with Mrs. Nusbaum.

The husband, the daughter, and one son, Adel, and brothers and sisters at Alma 
survive.
