Karin Sue Holmes, aged 67, of Saranac, passed away March 18, 2008.

She was born Dec. 14, 1940 in Illinois, the daughter of Frank and Vivian ( 
Blunt) Thomas. Karin married Richard Holmes Sept. 19, 1981 in Saranac. He 
preceded her in death on Feb. 8, 2008. Karin worked at Carson City Hospital. 
She was a member of Ionia County Sheriff Posse and Ionia Moose Lodge.

Karin is survived by her mother, Vivian Daniels of Saranac; sisters-in-law 
Rose Holmes (Paul) Mikulski of Saranac and Linda (Kenneth) Brandt of Lake 
Odessa.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday at Lake Funeral Home in Saranac 
with Rev. Mark Lipscomb officiating. Interment Saranac Cemetery. The family 
will receive friends and relatives 11 a.m. until time of service at the 
funeral home.
