Ionia Daily Sentinel - 1 March 1969
Funeral services for Herbert Glenn Holmes, 88 of Los Gatos, Calif., who died 
February 16, were February 22 in Ionia with interment at North Plains cemetery.



Until his retirement he was a chief engineer and student of engineering 
practices, experimenting with new ideas.  He devoted his spare time in summer 
growing flowers.



Surviving are his wife, the former Ruth E. Crowell of North Plains and now of 
California; two children, three grandchildren and one great grandchild; also a 
brother George of Detroit.
