Mrs. Orpha Holmes
Mrs. Orpha Holmes, about 49 years of age, of Detroit, died Saturday following months
of poor health caused by heart disease, and three weeks spent in bed because of the illness.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at the Ionia Church of Christ. Burial will be in the
Highland Park cemetery.

Mrs.Holmes was the widow of Louis Holmes, and the sister of Ralph Gilchrist and
Emroy Gilchrist, both of Ionia. She leaves a son, Arnold Jones. of Pt. Arthur,, Tex., and
a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Maxin, of Detroit.
