Mr. Holmes was 43 years, one month and nine days old at the time of his death and had been in usual good health right along up to the time of his death. In fact he went to bed feeling remarkably well and ate a hearty supper the evening prior to his death. Heart disease is supposed to have been the cause of his death. Deceased was a social member of the Modern Maccabees but carried no insurance in the order. He had recently taken out a sick and accident policy in the Continental Causality Company of Chicago, but had not been in that company long enough to derive any benefits therefrom. The funeral was held at his late residence Wednesday afternoon, Rev. J.W. Sheehan officiating. The remains were taken to Smyrna for interment.
