Holly Saturday at the advanced age of 98 years.She was the oldest person in the township. Maser Fuller being about one year younger. She has lived in this township for nearly 50 years and was loved ad respected by all who knew her.The funeral was held at her late home and was largely attended, Rev.Kenyon officiating.She leaves three sons, Ira, William and Burt, two brothers, Henry and Samuel, and a host of relatives to mourn their loss. The following relatives and friends from outside attended the funeral of Mrs.Harriet Holmes; Samuel Stowell and wife and William Stowell and wife of Ionia, the former being a brother and the latter grand children, Mrs.Agnes Fisher of Kalamazoo, Mr and Mrs Frank Holly of Hastings. Mrs.Ella Johnston of Aurora,Ill., being grand children, Mr. and Mrs.C.C. Stowell of Hastings, nephew and niece, Mrs.George Wunderlich of Kalamazoo a niece, Mrs. A.Oversmith of Nashville, Mrs.Julia Dove of Coats Grove and Mrs.Hattie Holly, the former being step-daughters and the latter a daughter-in-law, and Mrs.Dr.Butler of Kalamazoo, a friend of the family Mrs.Hattie Holly of Detroit greeted her many relatives and friends while here attending her mother-in-law's funeral. Mrs.Holly is the daughter of Mr.and Mrs.H.J.Carpenter and was born and grew to womanhood in this township.
