Mrs. Allie Mae Holmes died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. James Nusbaum, in 
Berlin township Tuesday evening, August 2, of heart trouble.  She had been an 
invalid for the past two years.  Mrs. Holmes was born in Kent county in June, 
1869, and was just past 63 years of age. 

Surviving relatives are her husband, Adelbert Holmes, one son, Adell, the 
daughter, Mrs. Nusbaum, at whose home she died, and two brothers, LeRoy and 
Dana Shaler, both of Boyne City.

Funeral services will be held at the home Friday morning at eleven o’clock and 
burial will be in Elm Hall cemetery near Alma.
