B. H. Succop in charge. Mrs. Herman Hacker and Mrs. William Stoll arranged the flowers. Louis Melzow. Charles Holtz, Herman Priehs, Fred Bielow, William Warnke, and Louis Speckin acted as bearers. The interment was made in Highland Park cemetery by the side of Mrs. Holtz, who died in 1926. Mr. Holtz was born in Germany and came to this country 41 years ago and for many years was employed at the Pere Marquette shops. After the death of Mrs. Holtz he lived alone but spent many hours at the homes of his daughters, Mrs. Minnie Karnatz and Mrs. William Redemsky and that of his son, William Holtz, Jr. While sitting on the porch Saturday, he was stricken with a heart attack and called to one of the neighbor’s children to call Mrs. Redemsky, who lives near. She with the assistance of near neighbors assisted him into the house and he died soon while seated in a chair. He was a member of the German Lutheran church. Besides his children, he leaves several grandchildren in Ionia and a sister, Mrs. August Krieger, of Chicago, and a brother and sister in Germany.
