William C. Holtz, Former County Clerk, Dies

William C. Holtz, 62, Ionia County clerk from 1933 through 1938, died Saturday
at his home near Ionia from a heart attack.  Before leaving his office of County
Clerk in 1938, he had suffered a slight stroke.  He was a Democratic candidate
for Township clerk at this month’s election in Easton Township.  He had recently
purchased a store at Dildine.  His funeral was held Tuesday afternoon in Ionia.

[Transcriber’s note: There is a notation on the Obituary card that he was buried
in Highland Park Cemetery.]
