Adell Homes, 80, of 5700 Riverside Drive, Lyons, died Sunday at a Lansing 
Hospital.  Born May 3, 1909, in Elm Hall, Mich., he was the son of Adelbert and 
Allie Shaller Homes.

He was a truck driver for A. O. Smith Inc., retiring in 1968.

He moved from Saranac to Lyons in 1954.

He was married to Madeline Meyers in 1938; she died in 1981.

A former 4-H Club leader, he was also a charter member of the Golden Years 
Senior Citizens Club of Muir-Lyons.

Surviving are two sons, Dale and Carl, both of Lyons; three daughters, Allie 
(Peggy) Kosten of Fenwick; Nancy Homes of Lyons, and Kathy Sprank of Lyons; 6 
grandchildren; and one great grandchild.  A sister also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday from First Christian Church, Muir, 
with the Rev. Dr. Lloyd Walker officiating.  Burial will be in Lyons Cemetery.  
The family will be at Hull Memorial Chapel, Muir, Monday evening and Tuesday.  
Visitors may call at the chapel until 9 a.m. Wednesday.
