Wave, Thursday, Aug. 14, 1975 Former Resident Dies At Grand Rapids Funeral services for Mrs. Gertrude (Morrow) Homrich, 80, of Grand Rapids, who passed away at her home Friday, August 1, were held at the Sullivan Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 5 with burial in the Chapel Hills Memorial Gardens. Her grandson, Rev. Dennis Morrow officiated. Gertrude was born at Lake Odessa, January 9, 1805, the daughter of Emerson and Mamie Pull and had attended the Lake Odessa School. She married Wallace Morrow and they resided here until moving to Grand Rapids more than 50 years ago. Surviving are a son, C. W. (Bud) Morrow of Grand Rapids, two daughters, Mrs. John (Maxine) Smith of Grand Rapids and Mrs. Daniel (Madeline) Harrison of Marne; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and four sisters, Mrs. Seth (Dora) Axford of Grand Rapids, Mrs. Farrand (Melda) Holt of Newaygo, Mrs. Arthur (Edrie) McCartney of Lake Odessa and Mrs. Irene Reese of Six Lakes. Mrs. Homrich and her daughter, Maxine called on their sister and aunt, Mrs. McCartney a few days before her death.
