Grace B. Honson, 98, of Grand Rapids and formerly of Belding, passed away Friday
evening Dec.  4, 2009 at St. Anna’s Home in Grand Rapids.  Grace was born on
Oct. 15, 1911 near Saranac, the daughter of August and Anna Westphal Warnke.  In
early years Grace had worked at the Murray Corp. in Ionia and at Jolly Kids in
Belding.  She was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Belding
where she served on the Pastoral Council and was a member of the Rosary Society.
 Grace was blessed with a long, faith filled life.

She was married on Sept. 11, 1941 in Ionia to Vincent L. Honson and he proceeded
Grace in 1998.  Also preceding were her parents; a son-in-law Danny Sprecher;
her sisters, Elizabeth, Mary, Margaret, Rosalyn and her brothers, Leo, Clemenes,
William and John.  Grace is survived by her children, Jean (David) Taylor of
Grand Rapids, Ruth (Michael) Schmelzer of Appleton, Wis., Robert (Sue) Honson of
Goodyear, Ariz. and Jeri Sprecher of Peoria, Ariz.; 13 grandchildren; 25
great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic
Church, Belding with Father Fred Brucker presiding.  Rite of Committal will
follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
with a prayer service at 7:30 at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding. 
Memorial contributions may be given to The USO, Mt. Angel Abby Seminary or the
Belding Library.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home for all three
organizations.
