Honson of Belding died early today at St. Mary’s Hospital, Grand Rapids, where she had been a surgical patient since June 27. She was 78 years of age. Mrs. Honson was the widow of Charles Honson and for the past 26 years had made her home with a son, Albert Honson, on Broas St. She was born Oct. 11, 1871, in the Miriam district south of Belding, daughter of George and Thressia Martin. She was married in September, 1891, and Mr. Honson died in 1914. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Belding, the Rosary Society and Blue Star Mothers. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph’s Church with burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Fales-Huffman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The Body was taken today to the home of the son, Albert, and the Rosary will be recited there at 9 p.m. Friday. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Cecelia Heffron of Belding R3, Mrs. Hilda Heffron of Parnell and Mrs. Lena DeVault of Twining; two sons, Albert and Vincent, both of Belding; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
