February 26, 1953 Mrs.Lewis Honson Passes Wednesday Thresa M. Rittersdorf Honson, 81, passed away late Wednesday at the home of her niece and foster daughter, Mrs.Fred Miller, north and east of Greenville. She had been seriously ill two days but a shut-in for ten years. She was born in Otisco Township south of the city, June 15, 1871 and was married to lewis Honson, November 11, 1892. They moved to this city in 1900 living at 909 S.Bridge St., where he passed away 20 years ago. She continued in this home until 1950 when ill health made it necessary for her to go to the home of her daughter. Surviving are the foster daughter, and one grandchild, Dale Miller; one son Clarence died in childhood; one sister; Mrs.Martha Hall of Chelsea and one brother , Bert Rittersdorf of Cedar Springs. She was a member of St.Joseph's Catholic Church and the Rosary Society. The Rosary will be recited at the Fales-Huffman Funeral Home Friday evening at 8:30 and the funeral services will be held at St.Joseph's Catholic Church Saturday at 10 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Steves officiating and the burial will be in St.Joseph's Cemetery.
