Ionia Sentinel Standard, 22 Feb 1944

Funeral services for Joseph Hoople, 65, who died Feb. 11 at his home in St. 
Petersburg, Fla., will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Stone 
funeral home.  Rev. Paul Stewart will officiate and burial will be in North 
Plains cemetery.

The body is expected to arrive in Ionia late Thursday, accompanied by Mr. 
Hoople’s daughter, Mrs. Otto Mylon, of Ferdinand, Calif.

He is survived by his widow, Inez; a son, Grant Hoople of Pontiac; a daughter, 
Mrs. Otto Nylon of Ferdinand, Calif.; one grandchild; three brothers, Herman 
Hoople of Ionia, Ward Hoople of Belding and Edmund Hoople of Grand Rapids and a 
sister, Mrs. Ella Johnson, of Fenwick.
