Born November 22, 1881 in Ronald Township, he was the son of Edmond and Sara Hoople. He was married December 30, 1909 to Dedie Knapp at Ionia, and had lived the past 35 years at his present residence. Mr. Hoople worked for a number of years at Ypsilanti Reed Furniture Company, now called Ionia Manufacturing Company, and was custodian of the Ionia schools until his retirement. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Ionia, Berean Brotherhood class and was a past deacon of the church. Four brothers and one sister preceded him in death. Funeral service was held Sunday, April 12, at the First Christian Church with the Rev. Floyd Emshwiller officiating. Interment was in Highland Park Cemetery. Pallbearers were Howard Sprague, Leslie Stedman, Raymond Jameson, Eugene Hannah, Lloyd Snyder and Howard Ranson. Funeral arrangements were made by the Stone-Kauffman Funeral Home.
