County News - Thursday, March 8, 1956

Edmond Hoople, 628 West Main St., died Tuesday morning, March 6, in the Ionia 
County Memorial Hospital. He was 67 years old.

Mr. Hoople was born August 14, 1888, in Ronald Township, the son of Mr. and 
Mrs. Edmund Hoople. During his early life he lived in Ronald Township and later 
moved to Grand Rapids, where he was employed until he retired in 1953. He then 
returned to Ionia to live.

He is survived by a brother, Herman Hoople, Ionia; four nephews, Russell 
Hoople, Ionia; Harry Hoople of Marne; Evelyn Hoople of Fenwick; Grant Hoople of 
Oxford and a niece, Virginia Nylund of Detroit.

Rev. Court O. Adams will officiate at the funeral which will be from Stone-
Kauffman Funeral Home at two o'clock Thursday afternoon, March 8. Burial will 
be in Highland Park cemetery.
