Hoople, 65, died Friday morning at 6:30 o’clock at St. Petersburg, Florida where he had gone in September 1943 because of poor health. He was born on a farm south of Palo in Ronald and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Hoople. Before going to Florida he had made his home in Birmingham. He was married 33 years ago to Inez Chase of Muir, who survives him. He was a motorman for the street railway in Birmingham for 25 years and later was a salesman for a roofing and insulating concern there. He was a member of the Baptist church of Birmingham and Knights of Phythias of Birmingham. Surviving him besides his widow Inez is a son, Grand Hoople of Pontiac; a daughter, Mrs. Otto Nylon of Ferdinand, California; one grandchild; three brothers, Herman Hoople of Ionia, Ward Hoople of Belding and Edmund Hoople of Grand Rapids; one sister, Mrs. Ella Johnson of Fenwick. Funeral arrangements will be announced by the Stone funeral home, Ionia, upon arrival of the body from Florida.
