B. A. hospital at Grand Rapids, where he went a day or two previous for an operation. He had suffered much from what was believed to be a severe attack of appendicitis, but when operated upon it was learned that he was afflicted with strangulated hernia, which had reached a stage where recovery was impossible. He was a son-in-law of Mrs. Etta Sprague, who formerly lived in Ronald township and who now owns and occupies the Fred Tompson residence on Pleasant street in this city. He was married to Miss Sprague two or three years ago and was a genial young man who was highly honored and esteemed for his excellent character and sterling worth. The remains arrived here on Tuesday morning’s train and were removed to the Sprague home by undertakers Wilson and Friedly. Funeral services were held yesterday at Woodard Lake church, Ronald township, conducted by Rev. A. O Carman.
