           L. O. EARLY PIONEER BROUGHT FOR BURIAL

          MRS. A. B. HOOVER, OF LIBERTY CENTER, OHIO, 

       DIED DECEMBER 27. SISTER OF MRS. FRANK FOGHT                 

                                      -----------

   Mrs. A. B. Hoover, prominent in the earliest history of the village of Lake
Odessa died December 27 at the 
home of her daughter Mrs. Herbert Bonnell of Wauseon, Ohio. She was more than 75
years of age, was born 
at Saranac, and was a half-sister of Mrs. Frank Foght who lives just northwest of
the village.

   She was married to Lewis D. Foght in 1877. Mr. Foght died in 1892 and in 1894 the
married A B. Hoover who 
died last September.

   She leaves besides three children, three grandchildren all of Ohio, her sister
Mrs. Frank Foght here, two 
half-brothers, David Garfield of Lowell and William Garfield of Saranac.

   The body was brought to Lake Odessa Monday for burial at Lakeside and friends
from near here gathered 
and viewed the remains of their early associate.

   Friends from away to attend the burial were:

   David Foght, Toledo, Ohio: Mr. and Mrs. H. R. Bonnell and son William of Wauseon,
O,: Mr. and Mrs.Charles 
Snyder, Mr. and Mrs. George Thomas, Mr. and Mrs. Eagle and Mrs. Bartell of Lansing:
Mr. and Mrs. D. L. 
Garfield. Mr. and Mrs. P. J. Peterson, Lowell: Lyle Garfield, Middleville: Mr. and
Mrs. W. A. Garfield, Carl Peck,, 
Mrs. and Mrs. Charles Palmer, Mr. and Mr. James Scott, Mrs. Cecil Taylor and Mrs.
and Mrs. Lee Otis, all of 
Saranac, and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Richard of Sunfield.
