The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, March 24, 1942

David S. Hopkins, 80, died Tuesday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Pirla 
Ralph, Ionia township.  Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2:30 p.m. 
from the Bradley funeral home.  Interment will be at Sunny Hill cemetery in 
Bushnell township.

Surviving are three sons, David O. Hopkins, William Hopkins of Fenwick and 
Chauncey of Palo, two daughters, Mrs. Ralph of Ionia and Mrs. Cora Rogers of 
Lyons, 15 grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and one brother.
