The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Thursday, March 18, 1965

Funeral service for Mrs. Effie R. Hopkins, 79, former resident of Belding who 
died Sunday night at Ionia hospital, was held at 1 o’clock Wednesday 
afternoon.  The Rev. Donald Mathis of Clarksville officiated and interment was 
at Sunny Hill cemetery, Montcalm county.  Bearers were Don Whitney, Don E. 
Whitney, Jerry Daymon, Cleo Hopkins, James Howell and Fred Tropp, Jr.

Attending from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Frank White and Mr. and Mrs. 
Theodore McCoy of Sheridan, Mrs. Ida Marlon of Greenville, Don Whitney, Sr., 
and Mr. and Mrs. Don Whitney, Jr., and family of Lowell, Mr. and Mrs. Cleo 
Hopkins and Mrs. Mae Loepr of Belding, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Tropp, Jr., of St. 
Louis, Mrs. Maxine Cremlans and James Howell of Lansing.
