Larry R. Hopkins, age 71, of Ionia passed away Jan. 10, 2009 in Ionia.  He was 
born April 22, 2937 in Eaton Rapids, the son of R. D. and Josephine (Witzel) 
Hopkins.  Larry married Doris Montgomery in 1970 in Ionia.  Larry retired from 
the Ionia County Road Commission and he worked 17 years for General Tire.  He 
attended First Baptist Church of Ionia.

Larry is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Doris Hopkins of Ionia; 
children, Denise (Kenneth) White of Ionia, Julie (Dean) Myers of Delton, Sandy 
Main of Ionia, Arthur (Kim) Witter of Ionia, Charles (Karen) Witter of Ionia 
and David (Joanne) Witter of Ionia; brother, Danny (Mary Lou) Hopkins of 
Ionia; son-in-law John (Deb) Tucker of Iona; 18 grandchildren and 10 great-
grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, one step-
daughter and one brother.

Services will be held at a later date.  Arrangements by Lake Funeral Home of 
Ionia.
