Mrs. Mariett Hopkins Buried in Oak Hill Cemetery Wednesday

Mrs. Mariett Heald Hopkins, 77, and early resident of Ionia and a lifelong
resident of Michigan, was buried in Oak Hill Cemetery here Wednesday afternoon
with a simple graveside ceremony read by Rev. W. F. Kendrick.  Mrs. Hopkins died
Monday at the Clark Memorial home at Grand Rapids.  Services there were held
with Rev. O. J. Finch, of the Church of the Nazarene officiating.

Mrs. Hopkins was the daughter of pioneer parents who moved into Ionia County in
1844.  In 1874 she was married to Nelson Heald who died about 24 years ago.  She
later married W. F. Hopkins, also deceased.  During the latter years of her life
she was a resident of Grand Rapids.
