Cleo S. Hopkins Sr., 87 of Fenwick, went to be with the Lord on Thursday
morning, October 27, 2005, at Carson City Hospital.  Cleo was born on March 17,
1918, in Charlotte to Miles B. and Mary P. Baughman Hopkins.  He married Fern R.
Campbell on April 16, 1954, in Belding.  Cleo had lived in the Belding and
Fenwick area for 67 years.  He had worked at the Ford garage for many years and
retired from Gibson’s after 30 years of service.  He attended Belding Bible
Church and Ashley Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Cecil, Mearl, Wilford;
three sisters, Margaret Sarah, Myrna; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Hopkins; a
son-in-law, Keith E. Loper; granddaughters, Jessica Hopkins, Kathleen Loper; a
grandson, Todd Hopkins; a great grandson, Daniel Loper.

Cleo is survived by his wife, Fern Ruth Campbell Hopkins; their children, Virgil
and Bonnie Hopkins of Greenville, Ervin and Julie Hopkins of Clifford Lake, Mae
Loper of Fenwick, Gerald and Margaret Hopkins of Lapeer, Julie and Doug Gachter
of Sheridan, Cleo and Nancy Hopkins of Belding, Ruth and John Coston of
Vestaburg, Dawn and Elbert Jeffery of Fenwick, Bob and Sally Johnson of Fenwick;
54 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; and
several nieces and nephews.
	
Funeral services are 11 a.m. Monday at Ashley Baptist Church with Pastors David
A. Oliver and Ken Harger officiating.  Interment will follow in Orleans
Cemetery.  Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at
Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding.  Memorials may be given to Ashley
Baptist Church or Belding Bible Church.
