The Belding Banner-News, Thursday, June 22, 1933


Death called James Hopkins, aged 61 years, at his home between this city and 
Lowell Saturday morning after a short illness.  His death followed that of his 
wife who died a couple months ago.  Mr. Hopkins was a long time resident of 
this section of the country and his death will be learned of with regret by his 
many friends.  Mrs. Bernie Pretzel, of this city, is a daughter and there are 
two sons residing at home.  Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 3 
o’clock in charge of Bruce G. Fales.  Rev. H. S. Ellis officiated and burial 
was in the Marble cemetery.
