SHERIDAN- Chauncy S. Hopkins Sr., 81, of 8548 Almstead Road, Fenwick, died 
early Saturday at his home. 

He was born August 26, 1900, in Bushnell Township in Montcalm County, the son 
of David and Marilbee Hopkins.

A life-long resident of the Palo area, he married Earsle Jeffery on May 16, 
1925.

She survives him, along with one daughter, Mrs. Edward (Bernita) Bush of 
Stanwood; 3 sons, Chauncy, Jr., Jack B. and Herbert H., all of Palo, one 
sister, Mrs. Pirla Ralph of Ionia; 19 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.

Services are today at 1 p.m. at the Stebbins and Simpson Funeral Home of 
Sheridan, with the Rev. Kenneth Harger of the Shiloh Community Church 
officiating.

buBial will be in Sunny Hill Cemetery.
