GARY SOLOMON HOPKINS
Gary Solomon Hopkins, age 65, of Fenwick, passed away at home under the care of his
loving family and hospice in the early morning ours of Oct. 17, 2016. He was born in
Ionia, Michigan onJuly 28, 1951, the son of Chauncey Junior and Emma Jane (Forest) Hopkins,
both of whom preceded him in death. He married Bonnie L. Ricks, and she preceded him
in death in 2010.

Gary graduated from Ionia High School and worked at Frigidaire for many years, in
both Belding and Greenville, prior to his retirement from there. Gary loved to garden and
had expanded his to fit almost all of the grassy area around his home. He enjoyed
fishing, hunting, playing pool and target practice. His best times were those spent with 
his children and grandchildren.

The memory of Gary is cherished by his dear children Gary (Shelly) Hopkins of Coral,
Tammi Zambrano of Ionia, Candi Bussell of Ionia, Christopher Hopkins of Grand
Rapids, and Jody Hopkins of Grand Rapids; his grandchildren Sarah, Kevin, Trenton, Taylor,
Kayla, Travis, McKenna, Skyler, Trever and Blake; sisters Theresa (Jim) Owers of Fenwick
and Terry Belinda Corder of Fenwick; sister-in-law Catherine Hopkins of Fenwick; and
several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition  to his parents, he was preceded
in death by two brothers, Perry Hopkins and Chauncy Barry Hopkins.

A Life Celebration gathering will be hosted by his children at his home, 10882 Cedar
Lake road, Fenwick on Friday, at 4 p.m. Those wishing to express sympathy are welcomed to
consider a memorial contribution to the wishes of the family. Envelopes and
