DORIS JEAN HOPKINS 1934-2017
Doris Jean Hopkins, age 82 of Ionia, passed away Jan. 11, 2017 in Ionia. She was 
born Sept. 17, 1934 in Ionia the daughter of Chas S. and Ivy A.(Bowers) 
Montgomery.

Doris married Larry Hopkins in 1970 in Ionia. He preceded her in death on 
January 10, 2009. Doris worked as a dispatcher and Clerk for Ionia Public Safety 
for 39 years. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting.

Doris is survived by her children, Sandy Main of Ionia, Art (Kim) Witter of 
Ionia, Charles Witter of Ionia, David (Joanne) Witter of Ionia; sisters, Linda 
(Ron) Dankenbring of Ionia, Pat (Terry) Madison of Vermontville, Nancy (Wayne) 
Morgridge of Ionia; 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Larry;  held for Doris at a 
later date. Arrangements are being made by Lake Funeral Home of Ionia. Those
