SUNFIELD- Carla Jean Hopkins, 36, of 446 First St., Sunfield, died Tuesday in a 
fatal accident in Eaton County.

She was born Oct. 26, 1950 in Lansing, the daughter of Harold Adams and Sara 
Ellis.

She graduated from Grand Ledge High School in 1968. She was a resident of 
Sunfield since 1970.

She was a member of Sunfield Sunflower Lioness Club. She has been very involved 
in student exchange program since 1978, and during that time, housed seven 
exchange students. She was active in Sunfield Girl Scouts and the Sunfield Cub 
Scouts program.

Surviving are her husband, Michael; one son, Michael; one daughter, Angela; her 
parents, Harold and Sarah Adams of Lansing; one half-sister, Karen Adams; one 
half-brother, Thomas Adams.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Doris Mae Adams.

Funeral services were held Friday at the Mapes-Fisher Funeral Home in Sunfield.

Burial will be in Sunfield Cemetery.

The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday and 
Thursday.
