The funeral services were held in the grove near his house, the M.E.choir furnishing music and Rev. D.E.Millard offering consolation to the mourners. He located in this vicinity in 1836, Two daughters, Mrs. Eri Kenyon and Mrs.L. Redfield, survive him. Mr. Hopkins was well liked by all, and passed away at peace with the world.
