Funeral services will be held Friday forenoon from St. Patrick church with burial in the Portland cemetery. Mr. Hoppas was born in Westphalia and had spent his entire lifetime in this vicinity. Since the death of his wife eight years ago he had lived with his children. He is survived by four daughters and three sons, Mrs. Albert Pung, Ionia township; Mrs. Peter Smith, Lansing; Mrs. Allie Pohl, St. Johns; Mrs. Roman Barker, Lansing; Leo, at whose home his death occurred; Louis, Lansing, and Matt, of Portland. Two brothers also survive, Michael, of Westphalia, and John, of Portland.
