She was born on November 24, 1926 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Merton and Irma (LaTour) Putnam. Mrs. Hoppes was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, the Resurrection Choir, and the V.F.W. Post #4090 Ladies Auxiliary. Pat loved following her grandchildren’s' activities, quilting, baking, her flower garden, and traveling to Florida as well as the Holy Land. Preceding her in death were her husband, Merlin Hoppes; daughters, Barbara Schrauben and Michele Hoppes; brother, Merton "Bud" Putnam; sister, Anne Rosterfor; son-in-law, Pat Seal; grandchildren, Jody Seal, Jill Wilcox and Brandon Schrauben. Surviving are her children, Sue Seal, Janet (Mike) Hyland, Patty (Gary) Bogard, Carol (Paul) Martin, Roxie Wilkins, Sherri (Dean) Fedewa, Terri (Jack) Schrauben, and Laurie (Jeff) Cathcart; 18 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Larry King at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 11, 2013 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Portland. Rite of Committal will follow at Portland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Lehman Funeral Homes, 210 E. Bridge Street, Portland. A Rosary will be prayed at 3 p.m., and a Scriptural Wake Service will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick School, in memory of Pat.
